Photographing in Stowe, one of the most visited towns in Vermont, is always the biggest honor, especially when you get to shoot at a venue like The Lodge at Spruce Peak, because it is just STUNNING from floor, to wall, to ceiling. I have wanted to shoot at this location since I started shooting weddings professionally in 2021. So when I was hired to photograph Lauren and Kyle’s wedding in July of 2023, I was literally counting down the days, and boy did it not disappoint!

Lauren and Kyle hold a special place in my heart. They both came from two totally opposite corners of the earth (Massachusetts and AUSTRALIA!!) and they quickly fell in love and the rest is history. Getting to meet their families and see them become one was truly an honor.

The spa, where Lauren and her Mom got their hair and makeup done was gorgeous, peaceful and so clean. The rooms were beautiful and intricate, and every staff member I met was so incredibly kind. On top of all of that, The Lodge has a MASSIVE pool, where families and wedding guests were able to relax before a long night of dancing AND the views of the mountains are just breathtaking, especially from the ceremony location.

There is so much to do, not only at the venue, but all over town, which is why photographing in Stowe is an absolute favorite of mine. You literally cannot go wrong. There’s amazing food, views, hiking, biking, gondola rides, tours…you name it, Stowe probably has it. You can check out the center of town, grab some gifts at Shaws General Store, grab some pizza at Piecasso, check out Von Trapp’s Brewery, or walk along the 5.3mi greenway at the Stowe Recreation Path! There is a reason Stowe is such a popular destination for weddings and vacations, and this is why! Why not plan a little vacay with all your family and friends while you’re at it!
